Have you downloaded a cut-out image from Press Loft that initially appeared on a white background but is now appearing on a grey/black background?

Not a problem! The background colour of a transparent JPEG is set by your operating system and this can easily be amended in settings. Below we will walk you through how to change your settings so that JPEGs with a transparent background will appear on a white background rather than a coloured one.

Open up the image appearing on a coloured background.

Select 'Preview' and then 'Preferences' and the below box will appear.

Press on the coloured box and you should then be able to select your desired colour.

Please note this will change the background of all JPEGs with a transparent background.

Please note the above screenshots are from a Mac. Below is how to change the background colour on a PC.

Open up the image appearing on a coloured background.

Click 'Picture Tools' - 'Recolour' - 'Set Transparent Colour' then on the image select the area/colour you wish to change and change it to desired colour. Select the picture and then press CTRL+T. This should then be complete.
