If you're new on the platform or have never sent a press release directly on Press Loft, you might be wondering where to start.
We've explained the process step-by-step, so you can distribute your press releases in no time 😊.
First things first, you need to be logged in on your dashboard. Then, click on 'Press releases' on the left-hand side menu.
Once there, click on 'Create Press Release':
Then, you need to check all your details are correct. The PR contact details should be automatically pre-populated from your account information. Here, you can also select where you'd like your press releases to be distributed if you ship internationally. If everything looks good to go, click on 'Add content'.
You can select one of our pre-made templates or choose a blank canvas and personalise it as much as you'd like - we have different 'Elements' to choose from (located on the right-hand side) to help you create the perfect layout:
You can click and drag each element wherever you want it. Once you have it in the right place, just click on it within the press release, and you will be able to edit the text/image as needed.
Images are synced with your current image library - you might be tempted to drag an image into place, but you only need to click on it and it will be added to the image element selected.
You also have the option to upload images from your computer, but please note that journalists won't be able to download them from the platform until they are captioned and they will have to get in touch with you directly before then. Journalists love efficiency, so we recommend having them uploaded, with the product information completed, for quick access.
Once your press release looks good to go, just click on 'Proceed with release', select the date you'd like us to distribute it and submit.
This won't automatically distribute it to journalists, so don't worry if you've missed anything - we double-check your press releases too before we send them out, so rest assured that there's an extra pair of eyes looking over your press releases before they reach our network 👀.
